This is great news if you're like me when I forget where I've parked my car and spend ages trying to locate it in a strange area! This then makes me late for my next appointment and if you're with a friend on a social trip, you feel an even bigger fool! If you are a mobile businessperson or run a small company, then definitely worth your consideration. Budget for vehicle tracking is usually too low to consider an installation of a standard unit, for such companies, so this could be a real bargain product, worth a second look. This new technology is a winner, I think, and an affordable one.
To me a classic portable tracking unit which is even more accessible using iTunes and can be controlled and monitored through the iPhone -or via the website - just has to make sense.
This great new device uses iTunes! lets face it, that used to be the preserve of digital products to market, sell and distribute real world products. so, it would seem this is a stride forward for the tracking industry where products are usually sold through agents and distributors.
if you have to possess a company unit, it would make it impossible to use an iPhone independently, wouldn't it? so, to me this seems a great innovation on what was around about a year or so ago when you had just a basic interface on a company system to play around with which was a bit limiting in comparison!
With this iTunes application, that facility is still provided but you can use the iPhone as an "extra" independent unit too which can't be bad.
So, you now have a battery powered unit with no need for complicated installation, it can be used anywhere and you can just place this in your car after charging and away you go. Sounds good.
You can also log on to the control centre via your browser or mobile telephone, and request the latest location, configure real time tracking and get reports, alerts and much more. what more can anyone ask for!
Personally, I think for the peace of mind of knowing where your vehicle is whenever you want and wherever you are, this device is priceless.
Although it's a great tool to have for individuals, its also fantastic for trailers. You know, one of the biggest headaches for many companies is being aware of where all their trailers are. The trailers are dropped off at a depot and a new one picked up so you end up with trailers all over the place with no reliable way of knowing where they are! It gets a bit of a nightmare and who wants that kind of stress when this simple device is at hand and within easy cost?
This fantastic portable unit can be on the trailer and the location is just requested when it is needed. As it is small, it can be used with a solar panel so it is not an issue that the trailer may be left for a while with no power.
Well, how good is that? I think its well worth the cost and a great little tool to have.
